Look, we get it. Most people don’t obsess over turf the way we do. Sometimes, you just want a pretty, resilient and reliable turf for your home, and you don’t want to overthink it. Fair enough.
All three of these turfs can withstand moderate foot traffic, but our Eureka Premium VG Kikuyu and TifTuf Bermuda are our most wear-tolerant grasses. However, we’d say our Sir Walter DNA Certified Buffalo is our best all-around grass.
Choosing the right grass turf for your lawn is as much a practical decision as it is an aesthetic one. You want grass that’ll be easy to maintain but stay lush and stunning all year round. The three turfs we’ve listed will fit that criteria perfectly.
Your new moderate-wear grasses will need daily watering for the first 3-6 weeks as they establish, but maintenance will become a lot easier after that. Check out our seasonal lawn maintenance guide for advice.
How do you choose between high-, low- and moderate-wear-tolerance grasses? Well, high-wear turf is ideal for high-traffic sportsfields and public parks; low-wear turf is ornamental and should not be walked on; but moderate-wear turf balances hard-wearing resilience with emerald appeal and low maintenance needs.
