Seaford Backyard Transformation

With a modest 64 square metres to work with, the focus for this Seaford backyard was on making the most of the available space. The priority was a clean, even lawn surface that felt open and usable rather than cluttered. Tamar's brief was simple, transform an uneven, muddy backyard into a clean outdoor space the family could actually use. The area had become more of a problem than an asset, with muddy patches making it difficult to enjoy. The goal was a tidy, low maintenance lawn that looked great and stood up to everyday family life without a lot of upkeep.

For a backyard this size, it's a straightforward variety to establish and one that rewards good ground preparation with strong, even coverage from the outset.

The main challenge on this project was the condition of the ground before installation. The area was uneven and carrying moisture, creating the muddy patches that had made the space unusable. Getting the surface properly cleaned up and levelled before laying the turf was the important first step, without that groundwork, even the best variety won't perform the way it should.
