Winter is never kind to lawns, but we’ve grown three species of grass to maximise their cold tolerance and frost-burn recovery. With our turf, your lawns will stay green all year long.
TifTuf Bermuda is an excellent winter green couch grass that's as hardy as it is beautiful. Eureka Premium VG Kikuyu stays green in winter, whereas most other Kikuyas fade to yellow as they enter winter dormancy. Sir Walter Buffalo is cold-tolerant and a great all-rounder.

Our grasses thrive in Victorian winters because we cultivate them right here in Victoria, acclimating them to the full breadth of our climate conditions. They’ve adapted over time, developing stronger antifreeze-like chemicals within their cells that allow them to stay green as they enter winter dormancy. It’s this dormancy that causes other varietals to yellow.
The winter vibrancy of our grass might be enough for you if you live within the Melbourne metro area. But if you live in regional Victoria where temperatures plummet, frost may be a bigger concern. While no grass is immune from frost burn, our dense-root turfs can rapidly recover from frost damage.
