Your Questions Answered

As genuine Sir Grange is a slow-growing lawn, it may take several months to establish. It is critical that your Sir Grange lawn is not allowed to dry out during this initial establishment period. Our recommended irrigation program:

  • Installation day to 8 weeks old - 2-3 times a day
  • 8 weeks to 12 weeks old - daily watering of 3ml
  • 12 weeks onwards - twice per week, weather depending.

When Sir Grange is established during the warmer months of November to March, hot days over 28 degrees may require watering multiple times a day to ensure it remains moist.

While Sir Grange enjoys having plenty of sun, and can tolerate full sun, it also has high shade toleranceit can handle up to 75% shade.

Since Sir Grange is a slower growing turf variety in the Victorian climate, it needs less mowing and fertilising than other turf varieties. This makes it ideal as a decorative grass that will look great with minimal manual work.

When you buy Sir Grange Zoysia, ensure you’re buying from reputable turf grass breeders and receiving genuine Sir Grange turf. A typical Sir Grange turf price is around $36 per square metre. While this is more than other turf varieties, you can expect a reduction on larger orders.
