Landscaping and garden design are precise arts, so we can assume you know quality when you see it. Our Sir Grange Zoysia is a breathtaking stunner with dazzling green folliage that’ll elevate your garden into an awards contender.
Sir Grange Zoysia is not a native grass — it’s an American-developed turf originally cultivated for golf courses under the name BRF Zeon Zoysia. But, boasting a bevy of benefits, it soon earned applause from landscapers and homeowners alike.
Let’s start with the obvious benefit: it’s just beautiful. When cut short, Sir Grange ornamental grass creates a classy carpet; when left to grow (even to 50mm), it flourishes into an emerald oasis.
A slow-growing ornamental, it can take up to two years to fully establish, but that’s more of a benefit than a hindrance. Sir Grange requires about 50% less mowing than other turfs and only needs to be watered when it looks dry or is in extreme heat. It’s not too hungry for fertiliser either — only feed it when it seems stressed or starts to fade. What it does need is plenty of water —a few deep soakings per week — during its establishment phase, till its roots are at least 200mm deep.
Though not a native grass, Sir Grange turf adapts easily to local conditions. You’ll find it’s more shade- and drought-tolerant than any other ornamental grass, and just as hardy as your favourite native plants.
Our Sir Grange ornamental Zoysia is Australia's only pure BRF Zeon Zoysia. If you’re after the best, forget the rest.
Ornamental grasses are bred for beauty over all else, including toughness. But not ours. Our Sir Grange is as reliable as it is gorgeous.
The slow-establishing nature of ornamental grasses is a feature, not a bug. But you do need to give them extra attention to make sure they take. We can make that a little easier for you.
We harvest our turf in thick-cut, dense slabs. The thickness of our slabs ensures that your grass arrives with long, established roots intact and packed with nutritious soil. We can also offer washed root mats, which can make it easier to install your turf on your own soil.
All of our turf is grown at our Victorian estates and thrives in the full sun. For advice on how to install and manage your ornamental lawn, get in touch with our specialists.
