2. The softness of the leaf is an obvious point. Kids love to run barefoot and roll around; they need a soft grass carpet to do that on.
3. A thick growth pattern ensures high wear resistance. The thicker the turf, the better it’s able to handle running feet.
4. Self-repairing grass is essential. This trait is also a result of the thickness of the turf’s root mat. The quicker it can self-repair, the less maintenance you need to perform.
5. A low-pollen grass cultivar is far less likely to set off allergies — perfect for sensitive lungs and skin.
