Yes, you can pick up your pre ordered & pre paid turf from our Yarra Glen farm. Alternativley for small pick ups within Melbourne you can contact our outlet stores directly.
We recommend for you to fertilise approximately 6 weeks after laying your turf. Then for best results fertilise 4 times a year, in September, December, March & again in April.
Yes, we do recommend to spray with a weed killer like Roundup, then wait 7 days before rotrary hoeing, then spreading top soil. Alternatively, you can remove the top 100mm of the area, then replace with top soil.
We recommend a blended topsoil, which is soil, mushroom compost & sandy loam mixed together. Some suppliers may call it a 3-in-1 mix or a turf mix.
We recommend that you do top dress with a white washed sand (1/2m3 per 100m2). Firstly the sand adds weight to the turf, improving root to soil contact, secondly, it stops the edges from drying out too much. We recommend this as an alternative to rolling your turf.
For the first four weeks, you do need to keep your newly laid lawn moist. You can check this by finding an edge of turf and feeling the soil around the roots. If it is getting dry, give lawn a good water, if wet, hold off for a few days. Of course this will be weather dependant to, if we are getting lots of rain, you won’t need to water, if we are having extremely hot weather, you may need to water twice a day.
All warm season grasses will lose some colour over the winter period as they are not actively growing over this period. This can be lessoned to a degree by fertilising March and April.
Yes depending on the access. Our forklifts measure 2.5 mtrs x 2.5 mtrs and are quite all terrain.

Yes, we do at our Yarra Glen farm, which is located at 30 Bottings Lane, Yarra Glen, Melways ref: 267 J3, otherwise some of our outlets have small displays, just ask the sales staff.
If laying turf in the warmer weather, we recommend to keep all foot traffic to a minimum for approximately 4 weeks or until fully established. This can be checked by finding an edge of the turf and trying to lift up, if it comes up too easily, it’s not established, if hard to pull up, then it’s fully established. If you are laying your turf in late autumn or winter, we recommend to stay off the turf until spring.
